General Statement of Duties (not limited to the following):
The Petro-Canada Gas Station Clerks perform a variety of routine duties on a regular basis. The Clerks are responsible for the selling of fuel, motor oil, confectionary and miscellaneous automotive products to customers, maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store (both inside and outside) and bathrooms, maintain inventory, and provide excellent customer service at all time. Receiving and the disbursement of money in the establishment usually involves the use of electronic scanner, cash register or related Point of Sale System (POS). Aside from cash transactions, the clerks are also responsible for processing credit and debit card transactions, gift cards, and/or the redemption of PetroPoints. The Clerks must also be familiar with all in-store promotions and sales and inform customers at the time of transaction. Clerks will also perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and standing for long periods of time.

Experience:
The Clerks must have basic computer skills with all aspects of computer applications such as Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, etc. Must have basic math skills and experience with the following: using the Point of Sale System, cash register, cash handling, or related equipment. Must be able to establish good working relationships and communicate effectively with supervisor, colleagues, suppliers, and customers; have excellent Customer Service skills; possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful applicant must be flexible and willing to work weekends, holidays and shift work. Qualifications Required:
Clerks should have their High School Diploma and at least one-year cashier experience, equivalencies will be considered. Note: Due to the nature of the business, the Successful Applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check upon commencement of employment.
